Thank you all past, present, and future military!
Stay safe 1/7. Love you, Ashton.
For the fallen,
For the forgotten,
For the memories of the survivors,
For the survivors of the memories,
For those who fought,
For those who are fighting,
For those who lost,
For those who returned,
For the ones who had to,
For the ones who didn’t have to but did,
For the ones who want to,
I salute you.

The perfect way to make two weeks of deployment fly by? VACATION!
Tips for surviving deployment #5: Save old voicemails.
voicemails are perfect when you just need to hear them say “I love you”
just because you’re hurt doesn’t mean you’re broken.
abby-takingitdaybyday asked: How are you and Ashton doing with deployment? I hope you are both doing well! It will be over before you know it! Hang in there <3
We are doing FANTASTIC actually, thank you for asking. We have found a lot of positive things to come out of this deployment. we bicker less, communicate much faster and more efficiently, our love is much stronger and so much more, so we try and look at it as an opportunity to grow rather than sucky time away from each other. Thank you for your encouraging words! hope all is well with you! <3
AFTER 42 DAYS OF NOT HEARING ASHTON’S VOICE AND ONLY COMMUNICATING THROUGH EMAIL, I GOT MY FIRST SKYPE CALL FROM AFGHANISTAN YESTERDAY!
